The Story of Endeavorous Games
About
Founding Endeavorous Games and Tech was itself an endeavor. I created it to bring my passion projects to life; I have many stories to tell through games, books, and Dungeons and Dragons. Passion is all well and good, but if there is no direction for the passion, it is wasted. Directing that passion into playable games is the core of Endeavorous.
Our Name
Endeavorous comes from the root word “Endeavor”. The word is defined as, “To seriously attempt; To make significant effort; To strive to succeed.” [Oxford Languages, Marriam-Webster] What is an endeavor versus an attempt or a try? An attempt is something like,” I attempted to score in this game.” A try is, “I tried my best.” To endeavor is to say, "I make great effort.” Great effort will be put into everything we do at Endeavorous.
The other part of the name comes from the story of the British ship, the Endeavour. The ship’s mission was to explore and map the world, but while a long way from port, she got significantly damaged in icy seas. Astonishingly, with the captain and crew's combined talents, determination, and dedication they recovered the ship and returned home. With a solid team, a common goal, and an endeavor to strive for, success is achievable.
Games and Tech, is rather self-explanatory; we endeavor to make fantastic games and stellar technology. With hard work, a great team, and the grace of God, it can be done.
Our Vision
Endeavorous Games and Tech is to make fun, replayable games. From narrative puzzles to grand strategy, we have many games to craft and worlds to share. Some games are great for a single playthrough; others are replayable for hours, even days.
Endeavorous will strive to have full game experiences upon their release. Our philosophy is that when players buy our games, they will get the complete game and a full experience. We strive for excellence and aim to exceed expectations.
Game patches, content updates, and reworks are expected upkeep for our games. Our ultimate endeavor is to craft fantastic games, tell terrific stories, and form a strong community with our players and developers. Endeavorous will only ever achieve its full potential when both the team and the community enjoy the games we make and the work that we do.
